New Mental Healthcare Clinic Opens at Dubai Healthcare City

Dubai, United Arab Emirates — Hakkini Mental Health Clinics has officially launched its first comprehensive medical facility at Dubai Healthcare City (DHC), offering cutting-edge, neuroscience-led treatments and expert therapy support for psychological and developmental conditions across all ages.

The clinic spans over 5,000 square feet and houses 21 therapy rooms, an activity room, and a dedicated Neuropsychology treatment room. Under one roof, a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, neuropsychologists, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists provide holistic care to children, teens, and adults.

Advanced computerized neuropsychological assessments enable precise evaluations, while specialized treatment rooms are equipped for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Clinical Neurofeedback therapies. The clinic also incorporates red light therapy to create a calming and therapeutic atmosphere.

Adam Griffin, CEO and Medical Director at Hakkini Mental Health Clinics, said, “Our mission is to provide science-based, personalized care that brings clarity and lasting support to people’s lives. At Hakkini, we combine the latest neuroscience techniques—such as TMS and advanced neuropsychological assessments—with compassionate care from world-class therapists. We’re proud to support the UAE’s National Quality of Life Strategy 2031 and its leadership in mental health innovation.”

Recent initiatives across the UAE reflect growing awareness and commitment to mental health. Dubai has become the first certified autism-friendly destination in the Eastern Hemisphere, while Emirates Airline is the world’s first autism-certified airline. Media partnerships have launched mental health journalism fellowships aimed at improving the quality of mental health reporting.

Dr. Alexandre Machado, Clinical Director at Hakkini, noted, “These initiatives are tangible proof that UAE society is increasingly aware of mental health issues and the range of solutions available today. Thanks to technology, practitioners now use clinically proven methods to deliver personalized, non-invasive brain treatments that focus on the individual.”

The global economic burden of mental illness is projected to reach US$6.1 trillion by 2030, largely due to lost productivity from absenteeism and presenteeism. Mental health disorders such as depression and anxiety are increasingly recognized as significant workplace challenges worldwide.

To address this, Hakkini has developed a neuroscience-based program that helps teams understand cognitive and emotional factors related to burnout, focus, and decision-making. Nabil Al Rantisi, Co-Founder of Hakkini, said, “We look forward to partnering with public and private organizations to improve the mental well-being of their workforce.”

According to Statista, revenue in the UAE’s mental health market is expected to reach US$149.10 million by 2025. In response to rising demand, Hakkini plans to grow its clinical team to 25-30 certified clinicians by the end of 2025 and over 40 by 2026.

Currently, Hakkini’s practitioners include neuropsychologists, clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and registered nurses. Services offered include neuropsychological assessments, TMS, clinical neurofeedback, supportive psychotherapy, cognitive rehabilitation, psychiatry, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy. The team provides care in Arabic, English, French, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, and Hindi.

The clinic accepts appointments and walk-in patients seven days a week, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with plans to extend hours to 8 a.m.–10 p.m. as demand increases.
