CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Kindbridge Behavioral Health, a digital mental health provider specializing in gambling and gaming addictions, has raised $5.4 million in funding, according to recently disclosed filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The Chattanooga-based company secured the funding over the past few years, with the earliest capital raised in 2022. While the exact breakdown and timing of the investments remain undisclosed, the company made the funding public only recently through federal filings. Details on the investors and how the capital will be deployed have not been released.
Kindbridge offers a variety of telehealth-based mental health services, including individual therapy, group counseling, partnerships with employee assistance programs (EAPs), and clinician education. Its services are tailored particularly for individuals struggling with gambling and gaming-related behavioral addictions.
The company’s leadership has deep ties to the gaming and hospitality industries. Co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer Trent Lambert has a background in the gaming sector. Board members David Jacques Farahi and Seth Young are affiliated with firms in the casino, gaming, and hospitality spaces. CEO Daniel Umfleet previously served at Beanstalk, the parent company of the gambling prevention software Gamban.
Kindbridge is also connected to a nonprofit affiliate, the Kindbridge Research Institute, which focuses on developing research-based solutions for behavioral addictions and mental health challenges.
